How Our Network Works
Request an estimate from a provider
Who You Talk To
When you reach out, you end up speaking with an independent provider in our network. That is a local business, not Sillycousin Plumbing. We have no staff on your job site, and we do not do the work.
We pass along your request. The provider takes it from there.
What Happens After You Reach Out
It usually goes like this:
- You describe the problem and your town.
- A provider who serves your area gets your details.
- The provider asks a few questions and explains next steps.
- You decide whether to book them.
Some providers can respond quickly. Others may be busy. Availability varies, so it is fine to ask early.
What to Ask a Provider
If this is your first plumbing problem, a short list helps. Write these down before you answer the phone.
- Are you licensed and insured in my area?
- Can you explain the likely cause in simple words?
- What will the visit cost before any work starts? Is there a separate fee just to come out?
- Can you give me the quote in writing? Ask for it in writing.
- Will there be extra charges if you find something else?
- Can you help me document the damage for an insurance claim?
Typical U.S. costs vary a lot by job. A quick drain clearing and a sewer repair are very different bills. A written quote keeps everyone on the same page.
You Are in Control
Nothing about a referral locks you in. You can say no, ask for a second opinion, or call another provider. A good provider will not rush you.
If water is still running, shut off the main valve first if you can reach it safely. Then make your request. Breathe, then shut off.
